I received the following message from Phyllis (Mintz) Eisenberg she wanted to share.
ChuckR:
“Sent: 2/6/2010 11:05:20 P.M. Pacific Standard Time
Subj: neil sedaka and aunt lubey
most of you know that lubey has dementia–what comes with the “territory” is something called sundowners disease..which makes dementia patients get aggravated and agitated…
The only thing that calms her down is listening to Neil Sedaka singing yiddish songs. Cousin Natalie Finn Birnbaum gave her the CD..
Tonight I met Neil Sedaka before his concert in Palm Springs..I was allowed to go backstage..
I told him the story and he got tears in his eyes. We took pictures together.
Natalie’s husband Mike took a picture of Neil and Put it together with a picture of Lubey–I held that while I was having my picture taken..Hopefully it is attached to this email.
What an exciting night.. he was so nice..and what a talent.

I have received a couple of comments from classmates about the emails and postcards they received from Harris Connect, LLC, sent on behalf of the “Publication Office for Madison West High School”. The card and message is seeking classmates to call to verify information to be included in a West High Alumni Directory. A sample is shown below.
As the administrator of this website, I am taking a “Neutral” position on this project. Everyone should make their own decision if they wish to have their information published in this directory. I would suggest that everyone connect to the links provided in their email, review the privacy policies, and make sure that you are comfortable with them. Also, understand the costs of the directory options offered.
